Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and of course lovely staff. I came in today with my three girls and hubby and the food was absolutely delicious which was served by a lovely lady working who was actually the chefs wife! Anokhi has always been a great family business which I love as well as the food. I used to frequently come to anokhi years ago but my job and kids keeps me busy! And I'm not surprised that the chef still works here, his passion and dedication for his customers never disappoints!
I went to this restaurant today (16.08.17) for lunch on the spur of the moment. I have been once before with friends and have had a few deliveries too. I was not disappointed. I ordered the salmon bhuna with lemon rice and a glass of Pinot. It was delicious and presented with a generous salad garnish. There was plenty of fresh coriander in the sauce and scattered liberally on top - I adore fresh coriander. The flavours were lovely. I would have had a coffee, but they only do instant!!! At £3.25 per cup! No thanks. The service was good and I chatted to the waiter whilst I waited for my meal. I love this place. It is the best Indian Restaurant around and in Wallingford. I highly recommend that you give it a whirl. Do book for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Lush.

After hearing all the reviews about this place thought I would give it a try. Service was really quick considering how busy it was. Food was of a decent quality and can say was a lot better than most of the high street chain restaurants. The only let down is the no substitutions bit on the breakfast as there is certain bits that I don't like and would have been nice to have them exchange for something of equal value. During the week they do a free coffee with the breakfast, before 10:00, which would be amazing if they done it a weekends as well. Dog friendly as well even though I didn't take mine with me, but they do have a seating area where you can have them.
Nice cafe with outdoor seating by the river. Good coffee and delicious scones. Ideal for a bike stop.

Wish all guest house inns were this laid back yet friendly and accommodating. Well priced and well appointed rooms in a lovely part of this historic town. Guests are very autonomous here and the rooms are all full of (positive!) character. Highly recommend for short or extended stays, as it is in the heart of the town yet a few steps from the tranquil Thames.
Food is AMAZING here!! So healthy and fresh. By far the best in Wallingford, we come here when we can, can't believe the bad reviews ... these reviews can't be based on the food and the service as we've never had a bad meal here & service is really good.
